End Run: Victor 'Tori' Andrews

Personality: Having been raised more than half his life by a single parent, Tori has always understood the value of hardwork and his bright, optomistic nature meant he never had much trouble finding joy in the work he did. He spent most of his childhood doing what he could to help his mother support the both of them so he never had much normal social contact with other children in the village. As an adult, his social skills and knowledge of social etiquette is still rather lacking, leaving him to come across rather strange and awkward. Negativity rolls off him like water off a psyduck's back and so long as you can get past his rather bizarre tedencies, he makes a good friend for the short or long term.

Backstory: Originally from Haruba Village where his mother worked as a seamstress most of his life. When he was seventeen, his mother was struck with illness for a time and upon her recovery she was left unable to continue her trade and for several years he worked and cared for the both of them. Despite having had minimal contact with his father while growing up, Tori made the decision to seek him out in Oreburgh City for assistance. His father worked as a geologist near the mine and had been on a research trip when he'd met Tori's mother. With some begrudged favor-calling, his father got him a job in the mines and the majority of the money he earned was sent back to Haruba for his mother. For the last nine years before the war Tori has been working diligently in the mines (giving him a none too shabby figure hheeee<3 /SHOT), the last two of which have been spent training and caring for the pokemon he was given as a helper (with the invention of the pokeball, various pokemon were brought in to assist with productivity). Although not a blatantly aggressive person, Tori greatly enjoys physical activities and fighting is no different, but definitely not his reason for enlisting. He thought unusual penchant for excavating, tunneling, and just generally being underground might be useful in Kanto's Special Ops. More than anything, though, his upbringing forced him to mature rather quickly and he was left with a wicked streak that craves chaos. He views the war as a chance to completely (and hopefully temporarily) escape the confined, tame life he led and create a fair bit of his own chaos with his partner in crime, his Drilbur, Hayden.

Pokemon Bio: Caught along with many other Pokemon specifially by and for the Oreburg Mine, it was trained for a year before becoming part of the group that were distributed to workers in the mine. Their first year together, Den had no feelings for or against his trainer but as their time together went on they grew increasingly fond of each other. Despite the "language barrier" the pair communicate and function extremely well together and nowadays Den spends very little, if any time in his pokeball away from Tori's side.

Personality: Oddly enough, Hayden seems to be the more mature 'person' when paired with Tori. Like his trainer, Den is diligent and hardworking and for the most part is a generally mellow and pleasant creature.
